The EUscreenXL project consists of over thirty institutions collaborating on the EUscreen portal, a collection of tens of thousands of pieces of audiovisual content and one million metadata entries. It provides free and legal access to a digital library of archival television programs, photographs and articles.
The NInA Archives consist of thousands of analog and digital media holding important masterpieces of Polish culture, including films by Krzysztof Kieślowski, theater plays by Krystian Lupa, and Krzysztof Penderecki’s concerts.
June 1, 2017 marks the beginning of operations for FINA (National Film Archive – Audiovisual Institute), a new cultural institution established by the merger of the National Film Archive and the National Audiovisual Institute. The mission of the newly-formed organization will entail the collection, cataloging, and digital restoration of audiovisual heritage as well as efforts to produce, record, and promote Polish audiovisual culture.
