The recording is part of the multimedia essay created by 20 household names in Polish culture and presented live on February 24th, 2017 during the NInA Finale. It was an event during which we looked back at the last decade in audiovisual culture, as well as the nearly 12-year-long history of the Institute (just days before the merger with the National Film Archive).
What is a waste of time? Maybe sometimes we should find a moment to do absolutely nothing? Creators from NFB Canada and France Television have taken on the topics of the inability to manage time, the constant rat race, and the pervasiveness of media.
The NInA Archives consist of thousands of analog and digital media holding important masterpieces of Polish culture, including films by Krzysztof Kieślowski, theater plays by Krystian Lupa, and Krzysztof Penderecki’s concerts.
Take part in a new, annual celebration of audiovisual culture! Its first edition will be dedicated to digital storytelling, emerging narrative strategies and archives seen from a different, very personal point of view. Apart from live music shows, film screenings, debates and media workshops for creatives, there will be an exhibition of interactive installations and webdocs, as well as a local art project and an audiovisual picnic.
