NINATEKA | ninateka.pl
You’ll find classic Polish animated films (including the work of Julian Antonisz, Witold Giersz and Jan Lenica) as well as the most outstanding examples of the Polish Documentary School (by such directors as Kazimierz Karabasz, Krzysztof Kieślowski and Marek Piwowski). We also have something for anyone who didn’t make it to the theater in time: recordings of acclaimed plays directed by Warlikowski, Lupa, Jarzyna and Klata, and concerts by Penderecki, Mykietyn, Możdżer, Pink Freud and Mela Koteluk.
Visit NINATEKA now and see if you find something that interests you. Type in a name or explore the categories: film, theater, music, literature, journalism, media, technology and collections.
Collections and Topics of the Week
The main page features top content associated with the topic of the week: our own selection of films and radio programs tied to a current issue. We’re interested in great events and names in the world of culture as well as the smaller narratives of our everyday lives.
Every once in while we put together something bigger: Collections. These are separate internet projects designed to give a comprehensive view of the work by a selected Polish artist or a specific area of Polish culture. Our past collections available in English include: Three Composers (Lutosławski, Górecki and Penderecki), Wojciech Kilar and Andrzej Panufnik. The others are Transformation Archives and Contemporary Art.
