Made in Polska | Concert series
The purpose of the series is to document today’s musical culture in Poland in a manner inspired by the country’s best audiovisual recording traditions, and with the same mission that guided the recording of Polish bands and singers in the 1960s. The collected material was and continues to be an excellent testament to the times and culture, as well as to the changes that have happened over the past half century.
Originally envisioned by TVP 2, the series has been organized by the broadcaster into three thematic sections:
– reactivation, featuring bands that are no longer active, but performed a concert for the Made in Polska project,
– debut, presenting artists who are yet to make their debut or have just recently debuted,
– classics of the genre, which showcases bands with a strong foothold in the music market and groups that will go down in Polish music history.
Made in Polska has featured such artists as Hey, Mitch&Mitch, Mela Koteluk, Pustki, Cool Kids of Death, and O.S.T.R.
Made in Polska is a co-production by the National Audiovisual Institute and the Polish Television Channel 2. All concerts were recorded at the ATM Studio Film and Television Production Center and are available online at Ninateka. Find out more at the official project website.
