Does it make sense to define TV audiences in demographic terms? How do TV series audiences compare to typical online audiences in Poland? Which productions spark the most heated debates? How do viewers pick shows to watch? Has the online series replaced traditional television for audiences? How important is it for them to access their favorite shows legally? Using data collected as part of this comprehensive online study, MEC’s Joanna Nowakowska and Marcin Gotowiec will attempt to sketch a portrait of the average new TV series viewer.

Mateusz Halawa – lecturer at the Polish Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, and the School of Form in Poznań, doctoral student at The New School for Social Research in New York.

Joanna Nowakowska – Market Analysis Manager at the media agency MEC Global
Kaja Szafrańska – journalist and video producer, founder of the YouTube channel jakbyniepaczec and co-creator of the film “Serial Viewers”
