POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a cultural and educational centre with a rich cultural programme, including temporary exhibitions, films, debates, workshops, performances, concerts, lectures and much more. The Core Exhibition immerses visitors in the world of Polish Jews, from their arrival as traveling merchants in medieval times until today. The tour will specially focus on the use of tools and strategies enabling visitors to come into intimate contact with those who lived that story - through images, artefacts, first-person accounts and interactive multimedia.
Words of Welcome | Jolanta Gumula, Deputy Director, POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews
Jolanta Gumula is an art historian, has been working in museums for the past 14 years, first as an educator, later head of the Education Department at the National Museum in Krakow. She then moved to the Royal Łazienki Museum where she created the Museum Education Centre. Subsequently, she was promoted to the Deputy Director for Museum Affairs. Since June 2015, Deputy Director for Exhibitions and Museum Collections at POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews.
Digital Collections as Part of the Museum’s Program Activities | Joanna Król and Przemysław Jaczewski
Joanna Król and Przemysław Jaczewski are engaged in collecting, developing and distributing digital assets at POLIN Museum, with special focus on digital archive, exhibits, Resource Center, web portals and education.
Presentation and the tour will be followed by a cocktail party.
