(A)pollonia stands out as one of the greatest achievements of Krzysztof Warlikowski, a celebrated Polish theatre director. It is based on classical and contemporary texts, primarily excerpts from Euripides' Alcestis and the Oresteia by Aeschylus, but also Jonathan Littell's Les Bienveillantes and J.M Coetzee's Elizabeth Costello.
